Raleigh Landlords Earn a Reprieve From City Fees

        Say goodbye to the City of Raleigh Rental Dwelling Registration 
program! The program has been dissolved by Silly Photos-1.jpgSenate Bill 326, eliminating municipalities’ ability to operate a rental dwelling registration program. The fee formerly was $45, so everyone in Raleigh city limits who owned and rented a property now gets to keep that money in their pocket going forward. Make a note to yourself to cancel any automatic payments because renewal notices will not be sent out any longer. This bill is in effect by the North Carolina General Assembly as of January 1, 2017.  If you paid late in 2016 it's possible you could get a refund but we wouldn't hold our breath...
